Cassandra Bond
I'm Cassandra Bond, founder of Math Makes Sense. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and received an award for highest ranked female in Electrical Engineering. I worked in the engineering field for 10 years until I got married and started raising my family. During my time working as an engineer, I always missed being in the classroom setting learning math, so I started tutoring part-time in all subject areas, including elementary math, algebra, calculus, Circuit Theory, science, history & English. Although, I have experience tutoring in all subjects, my focus lies in math. I enjoy presenting math as something that can actually be fun. I think my enthusiasm and excitement about math helps students see that math is not so bad. That’s my goal! I want students to realize that they can make sense of math given the right tools and the right support. When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two kids, boating, traveling and home decorating.
