PARENT FAQ

Questions families ask first.

What grades and subjects do you tutor?

Math and English Language Arts for kindergarten through 12th grade. Math runs from arithmetic and fractions through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus and SAT/ACT math prep. ELA covers reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, essay writing, literary analysis and study skills. College coursework and exam prep are also available.

What's the difference between online and in-person tutoring?

Same tutors and the same one-on-one approach. Online sessions use a shared digital whiteboard and screen share, and are available anywhere in the United States. In-person sessions are side by side with pencil and paper, in Orlando, Florida. Not sure? We'll help you decide on the free consultation.

How do we get started?

Send the short inquiry form on this page or call 781-636-8372. We'll set up a free 15-minute consultation, match your student with a tutor, and propose a plan before you book anything.

What happens in the free consultation?

About fifteen minutes on the phone or video. We ask where your student is now, what's been hard, and what you'd like to see change — then match a tutor and propose a plan.

How long is a session, and how does scheduling work?

Most sessions run one hour. For younger students we often split that into shorter, more frequent meetings. Evening and weekend times are available, and to reschedule you can just call or email.

How much does tutoring cost?

$50 per hour for kindergarten through 12th grade, and $60 per hour for college and beyond. Sessions are billed hourly and paid at the time of service, unless billed through an approved scholarship program. We accept Step Up For Students scholarships.

Can I request a specific tutor?

Yes. Cassandra, Alannah, Jennifer and Sara all teach both math and ELA. You can request one by name or let us suggest a match.
